| Bio: |  canihaveasoda - definition: an English girl of short, almost hobbit-like stature, rarely to be found more than one hundred yards from internet access, or without a notebook and pen about her person. A creature whom indulges herself on chocolate and fanfiction, with a penchant for getting giggly over the slightest (perceived) innuendo. Enjoys corrupting the minds of those who believed canon was the only way to go, and defender of the fanfiction writers' right to get uppity if people don't read the warning labels on fanfic, and then start complaining. 'How many times?! I know Sheik is Zelda, but for the purposes of the fanfic, Sheik is now a completely different person, who just so happens to be a raving lesbian in love with Zelda [puff, puff]' ...But, to be serious, I'm now a university student at Sheffield University, wooot! I got the grades and now I'm studying geography, as well as doing two evening courses (one in writing short fiction, and another about natural history). Well...actually, if I'm to be perfectly honest, I spend most of my time procrastinating, hanging out with flatmates and friends from my various courses, reading fanfiction (planning to write some and never getting around to it), singing loudly to my stereo, and going out partying quite a few nights of the week. 'Tis only to be expected, I'm a student after all! When I eventually come out of the other side of university (hopefully with liver intact and a respectable degree to my name!), I'd like to pursue a career in meteorology or climateology, so that I could work with weather systems and would have the opportunity to work on global warming/world climate and so on. That's the bit of geography that I find most interesting...however, I have the feeling this might change over the next three years, so let's see how we go! I enjoy procrastinating over arty projects and novel writing, as well as singing in various choirs. I was a member of Farnham Youth Choir for three years (my service ended in July 2006), and during that short space of time, I've done more travelling than in the rest of my life put together: I went to Europe twice, and then to China for two weeks at the beginning of July 2006 - an experience I'll always remember. I've been a member of St Peter's church choir for at least nine years, and plan to go back this Christmas if at all possible...though this choir is apparently disbanding, because our Choir master is leaving. :( Quite sad about it...feels like a lot of my childhood has gone poof now that the choir might be going! I'm also teaching myself guitar (and failing...badly...) and I tootle around on the piano every now and then: I think I'm getting better, though the Bass Cleff will forever confound me! You might have seen me around on fanfiction.net, deviantart.com or fictionised.net - going back a few more years, some people may even have met me on greatestjournal.com. To all the people who have already met me, hello, it's nice to see you all again! And for all the people who have managed to stumble across this page, hello, and it's nice to see you as well! The fandoms I tend to circle around in are: HP (who doesn't these days?) - reading and writing Zelda - reading and writing Savage Garden - reading and writing Lord of the Rings - reading and writing (badly :P) Pokemon - reading and attempting to write, but failing miserably because I only ever bothered to follow the original Kanto cartoon series, and never went beyond Gold and Silver on the GameBoy Labyrinth - reading and thinking about writing Buffy the Vampire Slayer - reading Star Trek (all series) - reading Red Dwarf - reading (and salivating over Chris Barrie, eee!) House - reading ^that isn't a comprehensive list by any means, but it gives you a rough idea of where you might find me. Most of the time, I'm somewhat of a lurking menace, and it's only in a few fandoms that you'll see me take an active part. If we happen to bump into each other in any of those fandoms, be sure to give me a wave, and I'll give you one right back! Well, I think that's about it really, so...tara for now!
